FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIP

Symons and Lawson come out on top in Foursomes Champs.

The Geelong District Golf Associations Golf Week began on Sunday with the Foursomes Championships. A field which included some top local players played over two rounds at Lonsdale Golf Club with the foursome winners being the team of Steve Symons and Deyen Lawson. The pair had a fine 36 hole score of 145 after rounds of 74 and 71. The teams of Stuart Drayton and Wes King and Brad Dunn and Jeff Crabbe were next best after both teams shot 153 for the 36 holes.

The nett winners were Steve Speechley and John Anderson with a nett score of 145. The AM and PM nett winners were Rhodes/Chapman and Maslen/Crane respectively
